What sets us apart from other professional
music companies, such as record labels, is our
plan to make artists profitable from day one.
We have virtually eliminated the bulk of expenses
that labels charge back to their artists. In
addition to putting more money in artists’
pockets, The 5000 Music Group encompasses a
virtual interactive community, a physical venue
talent search and valuable resources for independent
and professional musicians. Our mission is to
see that promising Christian artists are not
lost in a sea of noise.

The 5000 Music Group was founded by Chris McConnell
(LinkedIn
profile) who previously ran Band With A
Mission and McConnell Entertainment.
Our name is derived from the story of Jesus
feeding the multitude in Mark 6. From just five
loaves of bread and two fish Jesus feeds more
than five thousand people. Our logo shows a
flame signifying a light in dark places.
